Hello everybody! I stucke serching the answer to this question over the internet=(
The problem is:
I have intel proc and motherboard supporting vt-d technology. I have two videocards - Nvidia gtx 770 for host and AMD Radeon HD 6670 for guest.
Now I want to passthrough my Radeon to the guest, but don't know how.
Found a lot of posts about ESXi, but none for workstation. Anything helps. Thank you.

As far as I know (not 100% but close to it) VMware workstation does not allow it, only ESXi hosts can leverage it.

I think it boils down to Type 1 vs Type 2 VM's. With workstation you still have the OS controlling the GPU, as opposed to Type 1 where the HyperVisor is controlling everything.

I read release notes and I was sure it supports this technology. I bought my PC just a couple days before and one of the points for this was virtualization. I have 2 HDD, so I can install ESXi on one of it, but it could be better to stay only with worcstation.
