ASRock H61M-DGS can I install windows 8.1 drivers on windows 7?

there are newer drivers on the download page listed for windows 8.1 X64, will they work on windows 7 X64?

No, they don't work. And I have question, why do you use the win8.1 drivers on win7 system? Because you can use win7 drivers in their website too.

I know, I just wondered because the 8.1 ones are much newer

Because the win8.1 is new and has compatible problem or other issue, they need the newer drivers, but those drivers only do compatible with win8.1.
