Psu- corsair tx 650w

The currency's is pounds btw haha. I was thinking maybe I get a r9 280x toxic then I won't be depressed when it's performance starts to drop then maybe grab an i7 for some future proofing? What would you think of that?

I said I won't be depressed because if I go buy the likes of a 290x then it's preformance drops I'll be gutted because of the money I wasted on it lol.

You could go with an Intel i7 4770k with that budget, and still have enough left for a solid graphics card. I'd say go with NVidia's new GTX 780 for your card. It should max out anything you throw at it with no problem. Or you could go over your budget by around 30 to 50 dollars and pick up NVidia's new GTX 780 ti. I don't know if it's for sale yet, but it's supposed to be better than the Titan when it comes to single monitor gaming.

Oh, you could try an i5 then? That should put you close, or within your budget. Another work around might be to get a different graphics card. I have the GTX 770, and it's maxed out everything I've played on it no problem.

I was just saying that lol. I think I'm overspending on the gpu maybe I should just get a 280x toxic and an i7 4770k that's £50 under my budget which is great :)

you can't go, wrong with an I7 nothing wrong with some future proofing, at the same time the choice is all up to you what you want from your computer! if you want an i7 over an i5 it's your choice!
The r9 280x toxic is also a nice choice looking into buying 2 of the mmyself although there isn't much information yet about them :( no store has them in stock until early december...
