Freezing IBM T43 laptops

Hi there. I have 2 IBM T43's and both got the same issue. Turn on and after a little time of using the mouse they just freeze! I installed a fresh XP and even I have installed a Win 7 and the same thing happens! Is it the processor or the mother board? Any help will be really appreciate!
One has a Intel M 740 and the other one has Intel M 760. Isn't the memory sticks since I have a 3rd T43 that runs perfect and I switch the modules around and they keep doing the freezen thing...

T43 is ancient, based on the current tech advance. Laptop is designed to perform for 3 years. Any life after that is a bonus. Having said that, I suspect HDDs in your laptops are acting up. You can hook up other HDD to verify that, but based on your comment, I doubt you have access to any workable extra notebook HDD. Anyhow, my recommendation is to get a new laptop, and let the once-glorious T43 be retired forever.
