Is thunderbolt a option?

Currently the Thunderbolt technology has to be integrated into the motherboard when it's manufactured and as of yet have not introduced a Pci-e addon card that would incorporate Thunderbolt into a non Thunderbolt motherboard.
It may be on the horizon that it is coming but I haven't seen anything yet.
