This is what it means when people say graphics aside consoles are more sociable. Im now a PC gamer over consoles ever since i built my rig as of late. Still geetting a PS4 but im just at a loss of if there are any games that have public VOIP because im lonely in this community and how am i supposed to meet people and have friends when all people do is private chat ? For example im playing BF4 now and read that they purposely didnt add the feature and its only for private? On Xbox 360 was the same thing having cross game chat alot of people kept to themselves and it was dull because im so used to PSN and playing games such as COD where there was public talking and if someone annoyed you you could simply mute them. Anyways i just bought a new Turtle Beach Headset and feel like i have no purpose for it so can someone help me out with this.

easiest way to meet people to chat with is to play an MMO and join a guild with ventrilo/teamspeak/mumble, VOIP in most other games often serves as a trolling tool, biggest example? Heroes of Newerth aka the first Dota rip-off

a lot of Valve games on steam with multiplayer have a VOIP function though (and is usually less troll-y than the bunch), the Left 4 Dead series games are fun and have VOIP (but not easy to meet people imo)

Counterstrike: Source! Play jailbreak in that game and you are bound to make friends.
That game mode basically requires you to have a mic and it's tons of fun. Been playing for years and it never gets old.

Make sure you also get Steam! It's a pc gamers' client.
But I know what you mean by being a bit lonely. I only have 3 or 4 PC friends now because I quit pc gaming for a couple years.

BF4 doers have VOIP. It is squad based only though and unfortunately a lot of people don't seem to be using it at the moment, although I have already added a few people to my very sparse Origin friends list.
