Battlefield 4 low FPS on low and ultra settings.

After getting battlefield 4 and getting it up to date I notice I never really get past 60 fps on either low or ultra settings. I seem to be getting the only a 12 fps difference when I drop the graphics to the lowest possible and to the highest possible and both are not running smooth.


What would be the cause of this?


GTX 670
8gb ram
1090T 3.712ghz OC
128gb SSD
m4a89gtd pro

I'm having the same issue with a 1090t running at 3.85 and a gtx 760 @ 1140 boost. My GPU usage routinely drops to 50-70% usage while my CPU is around 70% total usage yet my frames suck. I think it's game optimization. BF3 is flawless - GPU 99% and 65+ frames on ultra setting.

Latest Nvidia drivers and no other stability issues. Second time in a row Dice has release a shitty product and fixed it with patches.

Drivers are fully updated and so is every part of my computer right too the BIOS. Maybe above user @zielritter is right and I just need to wait for more optimization if that does ever come.

Having same issue here. If I put on Normal game seems much smoother and easier to aim, I dont really soo too much decrease graphics wise, I mean all those shiny effects on buildings are gone but it's still choppy sometimes.

We can really only see 60FPS, and most screens can only see that as well. With that being said, if you would like more FPS turn off Vertical Sync. This setting caps your FPS to 60. Turning this off will allow you to have more FPS.
