Hi Guys!
So I recently made a forum on which video card I should get for my PC and decided to go for the PowerColor AMD Radeon HD7970 after some results.

The card looked great and I got a great deal on it ( 3 free games included). I looked up the Specs on what it is required to use it on my Mobo, the specs were fine. So I installed it on my Mobo, plugged the power connectors in, turned on my PC and then all of a sudden my screen display doesn't respond. I thought it was just my HDMI which doesn't work when the card is functioning, so I plugged a VGA on my PC and still nothing. Funny cause I can see the fans on the card spinning and I can hear the pc booting up.
I have looked up countless of forums about this but all end up with the poster being able to solve it but not writing down what they actually did.
here is my MOBO: http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4481#ov
As you can see, it has a PCIE x16 and is also 3.0.
I don't really have to put it in the X4 slot since I am not putting 2 graphics cards, should I try it anyways?
By the way here is why I believe it doesn't work.I didn't exactly plugged the 2 power connectors, why? because I get the black screen, so I found out that if I unplug one of the connectors and let the other one in, the video card will still work and the Display will work. But then I looked up that you actually need the 2 power connectors, bummer cause if I plug both of them my display will be black.( The power connectors are a One 8-pin connector and One 6-pin) I currently have the 8 connector up while the other is just there.
Now what I read on the Manual Guide when installing the Catalyst Install Manager for installing the driver for the card is that when you have an issue like that it may be because of your bios not being able to support it, and they recommend to update it, I heard in Gygabyte's website that updating the bios can delete some issues regarding the Pcie or something like that, but updating the Bios is Soooo risky so I want anyone's opinion on this. Should I Update? You think that is the issue?
Thank you for responding and thanking time to read! I tried to be specific so other users can look at up one day and have an idea on what is the cause for their card in the future. As you can see I have no problem with power since my power supply is 800 watt also I have no problem updating (since I have a Dual Bios) . I'm not that smart when it comes to this things so thanks again for your feedback!
NOTE: I did not uninstalled the drivers for my current built-in graphic card from my Core i 5, but I did disabled it (afraid that I may not be able to get it back, and if the card still doesn't work, no graphics)
