I'm planning to update my system, would like some advise in whats best to change on my system. Any advise would help. Here are my specs

Pro- AMD A8- 5600K APU
Ram- 8GB (I've got another 8gb ram stick, but when i put it in, the computer shutsdown occasionaly)
GPU- EVGA GEFORCE GTX 680 4GB

I am looking for high end gaming and thinking maybe i need a new processor? Like i said, any advise would be much appreciated :)

Yeah, better CPU, I'm surprised you even had the audacity to put that CPU with that GPU.

Haha ya, with what you have just upgrade the CPU, you're going to need to upgrade the mobo too.

£1000 budget, its DDR3 RAM. Each stick is a different brand, not sure what brand it was though.

You may have some incompatibility issues with the RAM, such as latency and ram speed. You may want to adjust that in the BIOS.

Different brand may be the problem that causes it to shut down.

Probably the best closed loop cooler. One of the best X79 Mobos, and a six core Haswell-E CPU.

I'm guessing i'll be needing a new case? Seems I may aswell just build a brand new computer? Use the other Ram Stick and take the graphics card out of my old rig?

Well getting a new processor with a very large budget (assuming you actually spend that much), means that you can afford to do a lot. If you want to stick with your old motherboard go with an 8320, and a h100i. You can clock an 8320 yourself to equal a '350.

Ya that could get you damn good build

Like you have a decent rig already, there's no need to get a new one, although if you were to go with a 2011 socket CPU and MOBO, you would be replacing a large part of your build.
