Is it possible to have a dual monitor set-up with two VGA's?

I would like to get a second screen to make a dual monitor for my computer at home, however I am not sure if it is possible.

I can easily get a second VGA monitor to accompany my first VGA monitor, but my graphics card (AMD HD Radeon 7770) only has one HDMI and one DVI output. I have been using a DVI -> VGA converter, but what can I do with the second screen?

Would a splitter (DVI -> 2 VGA) work, or will that display the same picture on both screens? Is there a viable HDMI -> VGA that I could get?

*edit* I also have two Mini DisplayPort outputs if those could be used?**

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Natively the only port that you can adapt from will be the DVI port, HDMI and Displayport dont carry the analogue signal necessary for VGA.
If you want to hook up another VGA monitor, you will need an active adapter, which converts the digital signal to analogue, unlike the passive adapter on your DVI port, which really just changes the shape of the connector.

An adapter like this should work.

Would something like this work? The reviewers seem to think it does; one even says that he used it for a dual monitor. There is nothing that says it is an active adapter, but the specifications say it changes the HDMI digital to the VGA analog?

Thanks for responding so quickly!
