Ok guys I have two evga 780 acx i bought back in August and looking to use evga step up program to getting the 780ti reference. My cost will be $80 total including shipping for both cards. Is it worth the time and 80 bones to switch from my acx to reference ti?

Anything the current cards can't handle? Really it is your decision but looks like you are getting good deal on the Ti.

Hey go for it , its only 80 bucks, the reference 780ti runs cool and quiet anyway , so I wouldn't worry about that.

I wouldnt bother personally, though if you think the performance upgrade is worth $80 then why not.

normally I ask the questions not answer them, but i just got 2 of these upgrading from 2 titans. (sold my titans to my roommate who works in design for the cost of the 780Ti's plus shipping) and totally worth it. OC'd both cards to 1276 with reference coolers with no problems. temps never go above 70C even in BF4 ultra settings. Better framerates, better temps, faster cards. just worth it all around.

I went ahead did the step up. Im number 48 and 49 in queue so hopefully wont take evga to much time to reach my number. I read were the titan style cooler is better than the acx for sli due to the heat being pushed out back of case instead of inside. My acx cards run 90 for top card and 80 for bottom so hope ti's run cooler in sli. I really don't expect much of a performance increase due to my current cards running at 1202mhz on the core with low volts.

Well done , I like the reference coolers in SLI , the heat exhausts out of the case instead of on top of one another so your case temps will definitely be better

If you don't mind a little more heat for the extra performance, $80 is a steal to upgrade two cards.

Right now a single 780 Ti costs $200 more than a 780.

Reference cooler often use the blower design which exhausts heat from the case. They perform worse than the open design most aftermarket designs have, but they dont rely on case airflow to remove that hot air.
In an airflow restricted environment or in SLI/Crossfire (cramped space) a blower design would perform better, but if case airflow is fine then an open design would perform better.

I use a level 10 GT snow edition. I have a top mounted 120mm self contained radiator for my cpu with aftermarket 2350rpm fans on that blowing heat out of my case and cooling my radiator at the same time. and that helps my gpu temps really.

ouch >.< not sure id call that an upgrade. You traded double the vram for some shaders and a couple fps. You run some of next years games those shaders aren't gonna help ya :(

to each their own though. I "considered" swapping my titans for 780ti's then selling the titans this tax season.. but I dismissed that idea nearly as quick as it crossed my mind. Id end up regretting it with no means to back out/change back.

not to mention I run 3 displays so it wouldn't even be a if it would most certainly be a when.
