can i run high performance games on i5 processors with 1GB of readon graphics

Hello!!!
My name is Sarfaraz and I have bought an Hp laptop with the following configuration:-
Intel core i5 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB f readon graphic card.My question is that can I run high peformance games on it .Please answer. It would be very thankful to u.:wahoo:

^ more information never hurts, we're going to need it since changes from generation to generation are huge. i5's can range from from the first generation lynfields to the current haswells, and there have been guesstimates that place haswell at about 20-40% more performance per clock than the lynfields, so the difference from say an i5 750 to an i5 4670 would be pretty significant.

and the range of graphics cards is even bigger, stretching from HD 3xxx series to HD 7850

so yeah a bit more information can go a long way
