I've tried uninstalling it and moving the sata connector. It doesn't recognize that there is a blank disk or data cd in the drive. I can't figure out what's wrong. Any help would be great.
Try changing the SATA mode of the port the drive is connected to. If it's in AHCI mode then change it to IDE mode; if it's in IDE mode then change it to AHCI mode.

You do this by going into the bios right? I tried that but the drive still isn't reading disks.
