I am putting together a new gaming PC, haven't done that in a while, so I am trying to brush up on all the new hardware that's out there.
My goal is to create a PC for around 800 EUR ($1000)
That's what I have selected to far.
AMD FX-8350, CPU
ASRock 970 Extreme4
G.Skill DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1600 Kit
GIGABYTE GV-R928XOC-3GD
Seagate ST1000DM003 1 TB
ASUS DRW-24F1ST
(Still deciding on the power supply and the case, but that's not important right now)
The one thing I am not 100% sure about, is the motherboard that I have selected. I noticed it has the older 970 chipset, while as far as I know the latest one is 990FX.
I have also seen several threads where people also asked the same as me, for a good motherboard for the AMD FX-8350. However all those recommendations point to links on newegg for hardware that has been discontinued.
I would appreciate it, if someone could recommend me a good motherboard for the AMD FX-8350 that is good for gaming and is around $120.

Edit: I found GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 which seems to have good reviews and is just around the price range I am looking for. Would that be a good choice?
