HELP! Window 7 Transfer Problem

I used windows 7. I was transfering a quite big file from flashdisk to my document and accidentally press the exit button of the transfer. So I transfer the remaining file. I checked them and some of the files are gone. I used cut + paste and I don't know where the file is right now. It has been a week and I still couldn't find it. Is there a way the file can be saved?

It may be possible to restore some of the files as long as you don't write any more data to the drive and permanently destroy the lost data.

You kind of need someone with a bootup disk that has file restoration utilities that can be run from the disk which preserves more data.

There isn't much more that I can suggest but in any case, it is highly likely that you will lose at least some data.

And remember: Never delete source files until they have reached their destination and been checked.

Never 'Cut' important files; it is better to have two of them than it is to have none.
