block internet using centos

i need to block internet connection for my users using the ip address of the user's computer.
i use centos to do this.but, i loss this work. so, please help me to solve this problem.

if you have another idea to do this,then you tell me.

please replay me. its very urgent

Google iptables and your operating system. That's the short answer. Long answer needs to know what server software you are using, I myself have Ubuntu server running Squid3 proxy.

I answered that way should someone else with similar problem visits the solution for them is there and so, in the event OP has a proxy installed iptables is not enough.

So why did you say Centos in the OP, and why did you post in the Linux forum? It doesn't make sense.

Then you need to lookup windows server firewalls. Be advised that windows server 2003 is susceptible to a zero day virus that they have not patched yet, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade. Of course you could go back to centos or other Linux server and use IPTABLES.
