Hello!
So I need a desktop and for the longest time I planned on purchasing a maingear. Then my coworker told me I could save a bit if I build it myself. So this is my first build and hopefully with a bit of help I will be successful.
Here are the components I have chosen:
1. Processor: Intel Core i7 4820K
2. MB: Asus rampage IV extreme s2011
3. Ram: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB)
4. Graphics card: ASUS GTXTITAN-6GD5 GeForce GTX TITAN 6GB
5. Hard drive: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" 500GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Questions:
~Do I need more than 500GB of memory?
~What should I choose for an optical drive (I think I just need one)?
~How do I choose the right power supply?
~I like the CM Storm Stryker case , is that enough room or too much room? Should I go full tower or mid tower?
~Do I have too much ram?
~The case I like comes with a fan, should I still buy another possibly better fan. If so, any recommendations?
~Should I overclock?
~Would it be possible to have two monitors? I want to be able to play my game on one and browse on the other. What would I need to accomplish this?
~I currently have wifi so what do I need to connect my computer?
Im really hoping that I have chosen the right parts. If there is a cheaper alternative or another product that is worth the extra money then please let me know.
