so it seems my computer isn't registering my R9 280x at all. I'm running on integrated graphics and I think it's because the GPU drivers won't install, and I've tried just about everything. Is there anything I can try?

Can you tell me why it does not work or do you get a black screen when start up ?

Have you checked your bios to see if you can disable your integrated graphics or choose between it and your card?

Nothing like that. The drivers don't install properly and I was just looking through my PC info a minute ago and it said i was running Intel HD graphics.

So your computer is running fine, but it didn't detect the R9. Is that what were you talking about ? :o

lol it would be really funny if you forgot to connect the 6 pins connector to the R9.

I'm assuming that you didn't uninstall your previous drivers, or try uninstalling it and install this

Did that and same result. Says that the installation is complete, but then when i search for them in the specified folders or device manager, everything is empty.
