I have a dell xps that I got for a insane price. I have added a second HD, new video card,, and 16GB of ram.

1-7 3770
16gb ram
3 TB hd
560w PSU
550 ti 2gb card

I get decent performance from my rig, but am wondering if there is a better video card I could get, without switching out my power supply. The PSU is reliable and has great reviews, and don't really want to get a huge one for the top tier of video cards. Any recommendations that will give me huge gais in performance, or should I just keep what I got. Thanks

Everything besides that 550 Ti in that system is excellent, what's the brand and model number of the PSU? All these cards would need at least 30A on the 12v rail

The cheapest option and the best deal would be the Radeon 7870 XT, which performs like a 7950 at a great price, just runs pretty warm

A modern card like the GTX 760 or 7950 would be excellent choices in the less than $250 price range.

If you wanted to step it up more, the 770/280/7970 can also be found for around the $300 mark (though if your PSU isn't a decent one then forget this option)
