I bought a Sapphire R9 290X. It runs rather hot. In fact, in a mini ITX form factor with an unparked i7 running with stock cooling, you WILL overheat. I already took steps to rebuild my machine into a larger MicroATX form factor with some more serious air flow and aftermarket cpu cooling to utilize unparking and some overclocking of the CPU.

The question is this: in the future, is it possible for me to change out the cooling system that came on this reference card? If so, that would make it overclockable, correct? Or at least more likely to be overclockable?

This card has awesome performance but in tight cases, the heat is a problem. There is no doubt

Thank you.
