Hey, guys,
I have a problem with my Nvidia Geforce 610m. When I enable switchable graphics in bios it won't boot up. I can't even see discrete graphics option in bios - just integrated HD 2500 and Switchable. I have also enabled OS recognising. When I swith it to integrated GPU it boots up, but I can't find the Nvidia in device manager and all trying to install drivers for the Nvidia fails. Don't you know what to do? :-( It's Lenovo ideapad B590 20206. Thanks for any help.

No, I didn't drop it - I've just bought it... It came with windows 8... I hate it so I installed Windows 7. I realised that this notebook was also sold with win 7 so it shouldn't be a problem. I've tried World of tanks... What do you mean by un-seated (sorry, English is not my mother tongue).

The Nvidia is integrated GPU on the motherboard of the laptop. HD 2500 is integrated in CPU. I can't unplug it. And no, the problem was already in Win 8 (it didn't show up in device manager and the driver told me there is no Nvidia GPU). In the windows 7 problem persists.

As I mentioned - I can see 2 options in bios - Switchable and integrated. It boots up only when Integrated is selected :-(. Or rather - when I select switchable it boots up once, but nothing changes in device manager. After restart it doesn't boot. Everything is alright when I select the integrated, but still I can't see the Nvidia in device manager and can't install drivers.

I wrote here to attempt fix it with your help... Not to get this advice :D.No offence ;-). Do you think it can be broken? I've just bought it :-/

Hello... i'm sorry... but some Laptops have Video cards Plugged in to them now... maybe yours is one Like that maybe not... if windows sees no hardware in your Device manager, then there is no hardware detected... If your Bios will not send a hardware notification to Windows, Then there is no hardware plugged into your motherboard... if there is No hardware plugged into your Motherboard, then it is Un-plugged, Un-soldered, and or broken.
Are you good with a screw driver? have you ever repaired a Computer before? have you ever diagnose or repaired a electronic device before? have you ever taken apart a LAPTOP before, and got everything back together, and got all the screws to fit back in? Do you own or have you ever used a Soldering Iron, IF NOT... you need a person that has... is there warranty left on it?

Yes, maybe another bios would fix it, but I have bad experience with flashing bios, so I don't want to do it... It's weird, because a lot of people has the same problem... I think that GPUs which you were able to unplug are quite old, because I saw this in 5 years old notebooks. Maybe it still exists, but I don't think so.
