$2300 Silent mATX Gaming PC Australia

Hello, I am currently building a new PC and would gladly welcome some comments/advice on components.
My budget is $2-2.3k. The computer would be used both for gaming and some heavy duty computing (i7 and 16gb ram for this). I'm going to buy from Australian Site

This is my build so far:

Fractal Design Define Mini
Intel Core i7 4770k
ASUS Gryphon 787 Motherboard + Armour Kit
G.Skill Sniper 1866Mhz (2x8GB) 16GB DDR3
XFX Radeon R9 290 4GB
Samsung 840 Evo Series 120GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
Samsung OEM Optical Drive
2x Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Fans
TP-Link 450Mbps Wireless N PCIe Adaptor
Corsair RM-750 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 8.1 64Bit OEM
Razer DeathAdder 2013 Gaming Mouse
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 Elite Mechanical Keyboard

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Why do you think this is going to be silent?

That graphics card with the reference cooler will sound like a leafblower

I suppose you could put it in another room
  3. What Graphics Card do you recommend for the same price/performance value?
I don't mind either AMD Cards or any of the NVIDIA Cards.
  4. Best answer
NVidia cards at that price point cant compete . The performance is not as good .

But wait a couple of weeks and you should be able to find R9 290's with aftermarket coolers . The gigabyte windforce cooler is great , So are some of the ASUS models
Here are 280's with a range of coolers,3655.html

When 290's have coolers like that they will be worth buying for a quiet system
