Hello folks!

I am looking into buying a new GPU with a budget of around 700 euros, although I'm having issues finding the right one since I'm getting overflowed with options here. Ofcource that's a great thing to have.

I still want to go for the best bang for the buck so the gtx 780 TI is scaring me away slightly.
Some money leftover for an extra SSD would be nice.

Any advice would be very helpful.
I'll mainly do gaming and PSU and other components wown't be an issue.

I actually had my eyes fixed on the r9 290 aftermarket version It's cheaper than the 7990 and has enough ram pretty much same specs as a r9 290x but less stream processors but I don't know.

I'll guess I'll have to wait until all cards are on the table, the r9 280x toxic has caught my eye aswell, later I can always get a second one to crossfire them, I have a corsair 850RM power supply. It will be more than your option but the toxics are heavily overclocked aswell, I don't need the 6gb RAM at all since I don't do very high resolution gaming just 1080P on a 144hz monitor.

You'd expect people being happy with many options but I'm getting flooded with cards THERES TO MANY OPTIONS

haha ya thats a good problem, honestly its best to get the highest end single card.

there are a lot of different things that factor in like g-sync or mantle but the bottom line is with a powerful gpu you will be able to play games at high fps.

whether you get a 290x or a 780 wont matter that much.

one thing to think about is the games you play, that is probably the biggest thing to look at whether deciding on amd or nvidia based on which games are optimized if you really want to get into it.
another thing to think about is there is a definite trend towards higher resolution gaming, the new amd cards are built to run low end 4k gaming and 1440p.
just my two cents.

I play any kind of game from battlefield to super meatboy :D I'm not changing from my 1080p 144hz monitor any time soon so r9 290 or 280x would be my best bet then? since others are geared towards higher resolution anyway?

r9 290 is pretty solid so get that
