is it worth going from 16gb ram dual channel to 20gb ram

Hi guy's. Quick question. ..I have 16gb ram in my alienware aurora r4 system. That being 4gb in all 4 slots. I bought an additional 8gb ram stick and unsure if its worth losing the dual channel control and gaining to 20gb ram or not?

Any opinions folks?

I do alot of gaming and have a zotac gtx titan video card also...I have midi software and keyboards to run, natural point vector tracking and a few other usb devices would be running in tandem with most of that
