Hey. i have an AMD ATHLON X4 760K Oced to 4.5ghz with a hyper 212 evo. i was thinking about upgrading my graphics card and in the UK i saw a saphirre dual x boost R9 270X for £150. i know it will be a bottleneck, but how much so? if i want a 7850 its around £100-129 so i though the extra 30 for something in 7870-7950 range is worth it. so is that the route i should go?

Also, if i were to change my CPU i will need a new board too. as i have OEM windows will i need to buy it again with the new board? if so ill just get retail so save money in the long run.

My general rule is: If you have to ask about bottlenecking, you probably won't bottleneck. Your CPU should handle two 270Xs fine, bottlenecking is a very complicated concept which won't affect you much if at all.

You can transfer a copy of windows over to a new build. Chances are you'll have to activate it by calling them and entering a ridiculously long number. The important part is to tell them you only have it installed on 1 computer if they ask.
