The XBox on my HP notebook will not connect to the internet

I have 3 other computers on the internet no problems. This computer is connected but the xbox sight says that the internet is not connected. My other computer is having no problems connecting the xbox sight. My interent comes in on a phone line. Help please

Original Xbox has no Xbox Live support anymore.
Are you attempting your Xbox 360 through your laptop's Wi-Fi?
if so share the internet connection by changing adapter settings.
