Hello everyone i had previous problems with a HD 7970 when i first build this computer. After a while they decided to give me some instore credits to get a new one a friend of mine reccomended me a different 7970 which was from Asus. A bit more expensive but he said they had some better cooler or so and it could fix the problems i had with it. Ok, so yesterday and today i had the very same symptons i had: PC screen turns black and a loud noise comes from the speakers. Since i had the latest version of the drivers i didn't bother with them. Tried to run furmark after like 5-6 minutes.. boom pc crashed. Then i thought I had recently upgraded my RAM (added a new 8Gb slot, last month) tried to remove it and now i ran it for 15 minutes.. No crash! So hum.. I'm confused. Could a faulty RAM cause this out of nowhere? I mean like, i've been using that slot for almost 1 month and had no issues. Anything else i should run to make sure it's not GPU? I can't afford to send my whole computer to RMA to make them find out what's the issue (in case it wasn't this slot of ram)

Update: This is odd. My computer crashed today while not even doing anything special like gaming, running heavy programs, etc. so i decided to give FunMark another run. As soon as i started it the pc crashed but time time only the monitor went off like i had it unplugged so i had to restart and re-run it for another 15 minutes "Burn-in Brenchmark 1920x1080 (it's my current resolution) 15 min. So.. i still don't know if it's the gpu or not. I'm really confused :S I tried the IntelBurn in Test ran it twice on strandard and very high. No crashes. Kinda running out of ideas :/
