what is actually the main difference is it a major difference? I brought a 8gb dual channel ddr3 vengeance ram and wanted to know is there a major difference between 11-11-11-30 vs 9-9-9-27

If the sets are the same frequency the the 9-9-9-27 set is far better, the first number of the base timing, here the 9 is the CL or CAS Latency and tells you how many clock cycles it takes to perform and action - always want to have a good combo of freq and CL for best performance i.e. high performance DRAM would equate to the following combos

1600/7 1866/8 2133/9 2400/10 2666/11

also done want combos that have a higher CL than the below 1600/9 1866/9-10 2133/10 2400/11 2666/12

What about the difference between 9-10-9-28 and 9-11-11-31 ?

With the same speed, such as 2133 Mhz and same amount of GB.
