Is 3gb of VRAM enougth for a single 1080p moniter?

So I plan to build a new computer around Christmas for myself, and I am looking at a gtx 780ti, and want to know if the 3gb of VRAM will be enough for the next 4-5 years on a single 1080p monitor.

A 780ti wont last 5 years if thats what you're asking, but 3GB of VRAM is enough for pretty much any resolution other than triple 4K.

Yeah you will be fine with 3GB of VRAM, but like cooky said i really doubt the 780ti will last 5 years

thanks people, I realize that any graphics card wont last long but Im going to go to college next fall and instead of buying a half decent laptop and a console, ill just build a high end desktop.
