Hi everyone. I'm looking for suggestions for replacement(s) for my current cards. I play BF3, getting BF4 soon, and I play some older games here and there. I also am an Alpha/Beta player for Star Citizen which is under development. I'd like to keep the price under $200 per card. I've looked into a single Radeon 7970, but want to see what people think of the Nvidia cards as well. Current system specs are:
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H Motherboard
Intel i5 2500k O.C.ed to 4.5 Ghz with Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo
16 Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM
Dual Radeon 6870 (reference) O.C.ed to 1000 core and 1200 mem
OCZ Agility 3 120Gb for system drive
Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W Power Supply

Solution
A single 7970 will not be a noticeable upgrade from your 6870s, well at least in most cases anyway where your 6870s are not running out of vram. Since I take it you're looking to spend $400 total You could look at doing two 7870s. For a single card a 7970/280X with a good aftermarket cooler or on the nVidia side a GTX 770.

I would get a GTX 770 or a AMD 7970, will be best bet, Single card of course. Dual I would see two 7870 or GTX 660 (rather 7870). I am no fanboy, I go by performance so these are definately considerable!
