AMD FX 8320/M5a97 R2.0 +12V warning?

Just received a warning pop up about my +12V. EDIT: Upgraded from an FX 6200, is it just the PSU/mobo warning me that the voltage has increased to deal with the higher TDP of the 8320?

Just installed a new AMD FX 8320 and CM 212 EVO. All other specs should be in my sig.

Is it serious? Cheers.

(not even sure if I should have posted in motherboards)

If you are running the ASUS AI Suite at the same time as any other monitoring software, AI Suite may wig out (and cause the other program to wig out as well.) If you close the AI Suite, and only use the other monitoring software, your problems should go away. (Although, if they don't, start worrying!)

I have the M5A97 EVO, and I was getting the same types of messages around a month ago. This was strange, because I had used AI Suite and MWMonitor together for months; why bork-out now? Either way, I made a thread and ordered a new PSU during my freak-out, but someone mentioned the program-interference issue. I'm still feeling it over the "loss" of $100 dollars, but, on the bright side, my old PSU was a Thermaltake TR2 - a...

Started the PC and it booted me into the BIOS because of the CPU change. Exited that and got into windows. Once into windows I received that warning after about 5 mins of use, looks like it came from my mobo (similar UI design).

Have you restarted your computer since then? If so did the message reappear?

No, I'm doing a driver update and bios update so I'm going to be restarting in a sec, I'll report back.

run some stress test software and see if the voltage changes any.

12v is where the motherboard gets the power to run the cpu.

if it drops below 12v, then reconnect all the power plugs on the motherboard to make sure its not a loose connection somewhere.

other than that, could be a potential problem with the power supply internally. The TX 650 itself should have plenty of power for that setup.

Wow this coolermaster hyper 212 evo is amazing. Couldn't even tell I'd started testing.. here are the results after going for 5 minutes on Small FFT p95 test: http://gyazo.com/7a1114b3d5d6415844bfe7a48189a7b2

And after almost 15 mins uptime I haven't had any warnings. And no temp changes either.

I think the software might be buggy. I was stress testing just fine, nice temps (as above) and then got a warning of my MB temp being 119C? Checked everything I had (including the ASUS software that warned me) and it was at 27.0C across the board. Uninstall-reinstall situation?

Alright, cheers mate. Needed someone to silence my paranoia haha. :D

Alright, I'll do just that! Cheers. I'll post back here if I still get the warnings.
