I need some help with this new E900 linksys router I got. I am currently using my old dlink router that still works but I bought this linksys one and need help getting it connected. Well I already got it connected to the internet but when I type in a site like google.com it doesn't work. At first it was telling me that there was "no internet access" so I manually configured the ipv4 properties then it said there was internet access. I try going on random websites but it still doesn't work. It tells me the connection speed is 9.0 mbps then 5.5 mbps. If someone could really help me I'll send you $100. Just message me and I can send you my computer settings if that can help.

192.168.1.1 is the routers dns but the router gets it from the isp, sometimes the router can struggle to get it, or the isp dns may be having problems.

8.8.8.8 is a public google dns but you can also put the isp dns directly into the router incase the router is having trouble getting it.

What isp do you have?

If you put this in the url bar it should get google.com 83.145.196.174

I don't really understand what you're telling me. I think that the dns I put in (192.168.1.1) works.

I typed "ipconfig /all" into the terninal and it said the DNS was 192.168.1.1. before that it was telling me there was no internet access or no network access until I manually put in the ip address, default gateway, and dns server.
