Good everning everyone,

I need your advises on a possible purchase.
Basically I want to build a gamer PC that I could use for 5/6 years, and that would be quiet (I know, gaming and silence are not good match).

I asked your advise at the begining of the year, but had to wait for the purchase. I have sumarized the advises that were given to me back then, but since it's been a while there is probably a few pieces that would need to be changed.

Approximate Purchase Date: probably in a week or two

Budget Range: around $1200

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming/Movies/Internet/Photoshop

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Location: Toronto, Canada

Parts Preferences:

OK since you're getting the 4670K I assume you want to overclock. If that's the case you will need a CPU cooler.

I would suggest the Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus or 212 Evo. However if you want to splash out a bit more cash perhaps go for the Noctua U14S. Is super quiet and super efficient.

If you dont plan on overclocking either drop to the i5-4670 (non-K version) or the i5-4570. Then you could get a cheaper motherboard and save a bit of cash. Might still be a good idea to get a CPU cooler even if not overclocking. I would suggest the coolermaster in that case.

I know it's a little over budget but I think it's worth it. :>

Thats if you do not overclock.

If you do overclock how about this?

The reason it's over budget is due to the graphics card, it's better than the 7950 and should last you a good while. You could easily get the 7950 instead. :)

Hi,

Ok so I see the 2 builds that have been listed there are almost the same than at the beginning of the year. So there was nothing to really improved since then?
