I have two 7870s in crossfire. When cf is enabled games like cod ghost, crysis 3, bf4 have choppy cutscenes and sometimes gameplay. However when cf is disabled they run flawlessly. Any ideas why and what I can do to fix would be awesome. specs are all stock.
MSi 990fxgd80v2 mobo
amd fx 8350
Corsair 16gb 1600mhz memory
2x msi 7870 hawk edition
corsair 1050w psu
2tb 7200rpm seagate hd

That's a common issue I have experienced with both SLI and crossfire. Honestly, expect problems. Update drivers and profiles though. That should fix it.

also my second gpu runs 99% load idle. I have ran many av's. all say system clean.
However if I disable cf the games play well if not better.

did you ever figure out the problem or a way to fix it. I have asus m5a99fx pro r20., amd fx 8350, patriot 16gb ram, 2x xfx 7870, ultra 850w bronze psu, intel 240gb ssd, 2x 3tb Seagate hdd raid 0. Same issues, battlefield or cod screen flickers flashes, glitchy, even lowest graphics settings. Turned off crossfire, runs high no problems, what gives right?

it's normal, its a problem with crossfire that has been around since the beginning. sell your cards crossfire is shit, get a faster single card.

Really the only game I've had issues with crossfire was Ghost, otherwise Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 ran better on crossfire then my brothers single R9 290
