Hello All,

I am looking to set up a PC so I can play FFXIV. I went to PC Part Picker and did some research and reviews and this is what I came up with
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ZSMO

I am on a budget of about $500 but could extend it to$600 if needed. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Is the CPU cooler an absolute need?

It's there for overclocking. You can overclock this CPU and can even play the latest games with no problems. Maybe not in full detail though. Overclocking is taking advantage of the potential of your CPU. You can probably OC this phenom to 4 Ghz and use it like that with this cooler. If you want a more future proof rig, we can put there a FX 6300 as well. If you don't want a cooler you can dismiss it
