Looking to upgrade my gaming rig! I play games like MMO's/BF4/COD Ghost/. I was thinking of upgrading my CPU and GPU. I believe the newer games take alot more to run these days. Would like to run these games at Max or pretty close to max.. Looking to spend around $500 to $1000! Any suggestions?

This is what I am currently running.

i7 920 @ 2.67
Asus P6T (not the Deluxe)
Geforce GTX 570 1028mm
Benq 24 inch 120hz monitor
Windows 7 --64
Corsair XMS3 6gd DDR3 1333MHZ
Samsung 1tb sata & 300gb HD
Corsair 850TX power supply-
HAF 932

Thanks a lot for your help.....

I would buy an aftermarket cooler and OC your CPU and buy a new GPU. The GTX 780 or R9 290 (though I would wait until aftermarket coolers are released on it) are great.

What resolution do you play at?

Hey ihog,
thanks for suggestion. But I have no idea how to even get started with OCing. Is there and OCing for dummies book?
I play at 1920x1080.
