My PC usually boots into windows before all the colors come together to form the flag. Suddenly though, boot time has increased from 2-3 seconds to 10-15. The only change I made was that I recently installed an Avermedia capture card in the PCIE slot. My specs are as follows:

Windows 7 home x64
Asrock Extreme3 Z87
Corsair XMS 2x4 GB
SeaSonic M12II 650w
Corsair 400r
MSI Twinfrozr 760
i5 4570 @ stock (3.2GHz)
Samsung 840 SSD (boot drive)
WD blue 1TB

Incidentally, fast boot was never enabled. Having said that, enabling it didn't help. It's not the splash screen of my mobo that's gotten slower, it's starting and shutting down.

Nah, I checked the settings in both Avermedia's program and msconfig.

Some guy on reddit told me that it's not unusual for a system to take longer to boot when you install new hardware. Is this true, and this is just a natural byproduct of having another PCIE expansion card?
