I'm looking for a cheap external hard drive that is USB 3.0 and 1.5 TB.

I see some external hard drives are 5400 rpm is that normal for a external hard drive? I think that internal hard drives are 7200 or does that not really matter to much because its an external hard drive?

My budget would be like $89-$120, The cheaper the better but I want it to be reliable, My old IDE hard drive just died on me and I lost everything on that drive, It wont even format so I want to avoid that again.

Thanks.

Just a quick question, External hard drives are plug and play right? I don't have to do anything special to get it to work if I go with above 2 TB? If not then the 3 TB would be perfect.

Thank you Kingbob and thank you sturm.

Correct, It should be plug and play in most systems. You can read some reviews to verify that if you want. But you should have no problems with the external drives.
