Hello, I know maybe this has already been talked about before but Im wondering what would be best for me right now.

I got 2 EVGA GTX 670 SC 4GB running in SLI with 3 23.4 inch Asus monitors for surround gaming and today I got my doubts with this setup. As we all know, the 780 Ti has been realease and this GPU has been a hit as we speak. Should I upgrade to this? Currently Im playing BF4 on High surround and well I would like to see if I could get to Ultra with that 780 Ti.

My setup when it comes to chassis is a Thermaltake LV 10 GT so air flow is alright but Im planning on watercooling but would like to do that to a setup of cards that I know they would last for a couple of years. My CPU is an 2600K just for the record. (Is this good for now? I mean the CPU)

Thanks!

SLI usually provides an 80% improvement over a single card. I doubt the single GTX 780ti would be able to even equal that. But if you are planning on adding a 2nd GTX 780ti in the near future...

Mmm well I could upgrade to a second card but would it be worth $1400+? O.O

HEy so just to give you an idea for the past 4 months i have been SLI'ing 2x GTX 670 FTWs. As of right now im AVG 100+ fps in BF4 ULTRA settings with 8x AA, during small and enclosed maps im actually averaging 130 FPS. The 780TI will deffintly be less powerfull, i would go with the SLI and just wait for the next gen cards to come out which is the 800 serise or AMD 9000 serise.
I think you should upgrade your CPU before deciding to get a new GPU. I have ran some mediocer benchmarks between multiple desktops and noticed that there is a dramatic increase in CPU usage with newer games which is obvious and plus BF4 was coded using a hexacore processor from what i have read in diffrent articles (dont quote me on this though).

My specs:
AMD fx 8350 OCed to 5.0GHZ
H80 Water Cooler
2X GTX 670 FTW SLI OC'ed
850 WATT EVGA psu
Gigabnyte 990fx-UD3
8 GB vengence RAM
8 case fans
WIndows 8.1 Pro
120 GB SSD

Hey! Thanks for the info, are u using Surround on BF4? I dont know why but Im getting maps for example in the this mission in Campaing where the map has this HUGE glitches where I fall to my dead or get stuck in walls. :S I dont know if its my GPU or the game itself. Also which CPU should I get? I would have to upgrade my motherboard too? =/

Well there are still alot of glitches in BF4. On certain missions, i had to do them 10 times before completing them due to a glitch, sort of annoying. With surround i would get like 70 fps with jumps below 60 and above 100 but avg around 70. The statsi stated above are for single monitor. For some reason when i play BF4 i dont like surround, lol wierd right.....

What mobo do you have?

I bought 2 evga SC 780 ti's here's a screen cap of my most stable OC. My cards have no problems sustaining this clock. I have no temperature issues in games. the 57C in the picture is without the window open after playing a full match in bf4. i get upwards of 140fps in ultra settings on BF4

Ahhh that explains a lot. xD Well the MB that I have is an Asus Maximus V Formula which the CPU is for 1155 I think. I would have to get rid of the CPU and the Motherboard if I want to go with 4th generation or with a six core Intel.

Get CPU, with those GPUs in SLI you arleady have more then enough power to play any next gen game on ultra with amazing FPS. My 3dmark score with my 2 gtx 670 ftw sli is 30 to 40 percent better then a titan.

Your i7-2600K is way more than enough CPU for SLI.

I agree your cpu is fine. But if your asking which one to replace if you have money lying around then it would be the cpu.

Awesome, thanks for that! But how about overclocking my GPUs? Or that is not necessary?

You can do that. I use evga precision x foru oc. Be carful though cause the 670sc don't come with the bigger heat syncs like the ftw versions come with which the 680s have.

Mmm well I will see what I can do. How much could I get for selling both 670? Just to have my prices in mind.

What would the OP replace his i7-2600K with that would make any difference worth spending money on?

Is there any big difference between quad and six cores CPU?

It would take a pretty expensive 6 core to better the hyper threaded quad core you have now. You already have the ability to handle 8 threads with those 4 cores. And the difference in gaming would not be noticeable.

Ohhhh well in that case I will stay like this until the 800 series! Thanks for the help!
