VERY loud fan but brand new fan. Help?!

I bought a Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 fan on Amazon for $8 only because I heard it's a very silent and incredibly good fan. Unfortunately, it's sitting in my case and is pretty loud. It's running at 2500rpm which I didn't think was that much. I tried connecting it to a different fan connector on the motherboard, but it's still very loud. Any insight? Here's the link on the fan http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026ZPFCK/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks, Jonathan

No fan will be silent at 2500rpm. You need to aim for 1200rpm and less for quiet operation.

Use a program to adjust the speed of the fan. I use SpeedFan which is great but a pain to setup.

Yeah haha I installed Speedfan but I couldn't really figure out how to use it. What would be the easiest way to get it down to 1200rpm? Can I configure just that ONE specific fan or does it configure all of them?
  3. You can configure any fans that have been connected to the motherboard.
