I'm posting here because it seems like a good place for this question, please don't bash on me for having a console. About 5-6 months back, my PS3 was working just fine, until I brought it to a friends house. I hooked it up there, and I got no picture on his TV, but got sound. We decided to pack it up (it was packed and padded well) and I brought it home, and retried it on my TV. It powered on, but crapped out and turned off. A couple days after that, it turned on and all was good until I launched a game. I got all kinds of blocks, colors, and other randomness displayed along with the game in the background. I turned it off immediately, fearing that I would burn out the GPU. This went on for weeks, until one day it turned on and nothing was displayed at all. No sound. No picture. Just a black screen. I then reset the video, but to no avail. I tried taking it apart, re-applying the thermal paste with Arctic Silver 5, and still, nothing. It has stayed in this state for several months, and I'm pretty much fed up and want it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
