AMD R9 270X on a PCI 2.0 MOBO

I'M going to buy this card(R9 270X) but my mobo is pci 2.0 will i get the maximum performance this gpu got to offer or is it not worth in a pci 2.0 board ? i know it is plugable
i have a Q9650 .
mobo- ASUS G41

The difference in performance is barely noticeable. It will be fine

The speed difference for 2.0 and 3.0 is almost completely non existent. The 2.0 bandwidth for PCI express hasn't even been saturated yet. So go for it, you'll loose nothing by having only a 2.0 PCI lane. And any GPU that is PCI 3.0 is backwards compatible.

As long as the slot is 8x or better, there is no real loss.

8x/8x bare minimum.

If your mobo has 8x/4x mode you could see issues.

yes any combination of cf/sli with a 4x slot can cause issues with powerful cards.
