Hi guys,

For my Carbide 500R case, I'm having trouble getting the two front fans to work. The fan controller doesn't plug in anywhere... I've never seen a cable like it. Can anyone tell me where this plugs in or if I need to buy an adapter? Here's some pictures of what it looks like:

Solution
Connect the stock 200mm side fan to this connector in your picture. There is also a molex pass-thru connector from the 500R's header that connects to the PSU. Then all 3 fans (the 2 stock front 120mm and side 200mm) should work.

Corsair should have better/clearer identifications on what each cables are for. That skimpy Quick Start Guide made understanding slower.

It does not plug in anywhere into my MB (Maximus vi hero). All the fan connectors have a 4 pin layout, this does not plug into any of them

I am having the exact same problem with my case. I have no where to plug the fan control to. Where did you plug the side fan in?

You plug your 200mm side fan into that.

To power your fans you will need to plug your case cables into your MOBO (mine is called the system panel connector - ASUS M5A99X). These cables come from the top of your case and will connect your power button and LEDs etc.

Can you leave the male side of the molex pass through empty? The only cable I have is a male molex to PSU. I want to make sure i do this right, because i already fried a mobo by plugging the controller into a 4 pin fan header (rookie mistake, i know).
