Hello all.

This will be my first computer that i will be building and i'm looking to put together the best possible gaming rig that i can for about 700 ish dollars. I had someone put together a build for me not to long ago and i'd like to get some opinions and or builds that are much more suitable for what i'm looking for.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($116.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (Purchased For $59.99)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($58.50 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($65.58 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: SAPPHIRE 100354OC-2L Radeon HD 7870 GHz
Case: Xigmatek ASGARD PRO (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($54.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Newegg)

i really appreciate everything in advanced.

Solid build and +1 for the 7870 XT.That card technically belongs in the 79xx series of cards
