Hi All I'm looking for a new machine for uni and gaming I'd like to run dual monitor or step up from 24" to 30/40" range.

Needs for gaming - anything that catches my attention being old games to new games GTA, wildstar, Starcraft.

For uni I need to be able to run and render on programs like techla, 3ds max, 12d AutoCAD spacegass etc.

For old parts I have a corsair 650watt powersupply, linksys (I think)network card, asus xonar soundcard 500GB seagate HDD. I need a new case as the current one is a thermaltake V9 and the big 200mm fan has started to scrape grind etc.

Case :THERMALTAKE CA1A300M1WN CHASER A21 BLACK Mid USB3.0 Window NO POWER

CPU: INTEL CORE i7 4770K 3.5Ghz 8Mb Cache Haswell LGA1150

HDD: SEAGATE 1TB ST1000DX001 SSHD 8GB NAND 64MB CACHE HYBRID SATA3

RAM: KINGSTON KHX18C10T2K2/16X HYPER X PREDATOR TWIN PACK 16GB (2x8GB DDR3) CL10 1866mhz

Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 GAMING Intel Z87 Killer Lan Creative Sound Blaster Cinema DDR3 3000Mhz OC

GPU: Sapphire HD7970 OVERCLOCK BOOST EDITION 3GB 384bit 1000 MHz Core CRYSIS 3 / BIOSHOCK INFINITE

EDIT: sorry please provide suggestions I've been out of the game a little while.

Well about ram I think gskill ripjaws is a little better for gskill ares (and the price is pretty much the same) . Also you didn't mention anything about overclocking your CPU . If thats the case then buying 1866mhz is overkill, you should go with 1600mhz. If actually you do overclock then 1866mhz is worth it. Other than that your build is very good.

Well to be honest 4770k is slightly better than 4770 , but by slightly I mean very very little ( of course im speaking of a non-OCed 4770k ) if your badget allows then go for it , plus you might change your mind in the future , but I don't think you will see much of a difference ( maybe ~1-2% ) .
Also, 4770 has a ''turbo mode'' that gets it up to 3.9 GHz.
If money is not a problem go with 4770k .
