I now have an unbranded 500W PSU, which is sometimes making loud grinding noises on cold startup. The fan completely stops when this happens. The noise never goes away until i tap the back of my PSU.
Ive been advised to go for a branded, Corsair CX500 80+ PSU. I am also intending to upgrade my GPU to GTX 550ti. Would the Corsair CX500 80+ PSU be able to supply all the power needed?

-SPECS-

**GPU**: AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB
**CPU**: AMD FX 4170 Quad Core 4.2GHz
**Hard Drive**: SATA Western Digital, 32mb Cache, 1.5TB
**MotherBoard**: M5A78L-M-LX-V2, AM3+, DDR3
**LED Fan** 80mm
I am in the UK.
This is the power supply I am intending to get.

Solution
Yes the Corsair CX500 is a good budget PSU and is enough for a GTX-550-Ti.

CX500 puts out 38amps single rail and GTX550ti needs 24amps.
