I am looking to upgrade my PC but I don't know which combination would be the best:

I5 4670k processor + Gigabyte H87-HD3 Motherboard
Fx 4170 + Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

I will salvage the other parts from my current build, those parts are:
GT 630 2gb GPU
Corsair 8gb ddr3 ram
500w corsair PSU

I am also wondering how my GT 630 will perform combined with Intel HD 5000 graphics.

What will this PC be used for?
Gaming (on medium-low settings) and video editing in 720p.

Solution
4670K will win by a large margin. although GT 630 is a poor gfx to play game's with and it will not work with HD5000. HD 5000 will shut down after you insert the GPU. instead you should look for a FX 6300 with the same mobo and a HD 7750. you can play most games on high if below 1080p res.

Now I'm wondering if Intel 5000 graphics are better than my GT 630 lol

Get Intel i5 4670k with MSI Z87-G43 Motherboard and HD 7750 and 600W PSU...

**Get MSI Z87-G43 Motherboard, Another motherboard with gaming suffix exist that is MSI Z87-G43 Gaming, MSI Z87-G43 is better**

if you really keep the gpu, they will perform on par since the gpu is extremely low end.
would be better to save a few bucks at the cpu/mobo combo and go for a fx6300 with the board you mentioned and get a new gpu (something like a hd7770 at least)
