First of all if you buy a PS4 now you will not get the full use of the Vita, not all games are going to support it, many developers are new to the concept so it needs a bit of time to flourish.

Also early console cycles are so bad - I still regret my early 360 purchase.

I would buy a new GPU for your PC and enjoy PC for another 1½ year before jumping on the couch.

- Also ask yourself how important remote play really is.

PC imo. Most games will be coming out for PC now with Steambox, I suspect. And the games that are out for PC are undeniably better looking and smoother, if you have the hardware.

How does having a Vita concern you? It's a handheld console for you to play on the move or when away from home. You can't do that with a PC or PS4

With that said all your PC needs to become a beast is a new video card. What to get is simply down to what you want to play and play on.
Like to play consoles? Want to play PS4 exclusive games? Get the PS4
Like to play on the PC? Want badass graphics? Get a video card for your PC

Simply because Vita can do remote play and functions as a second screen.

That's a nice feature, but I don't know how well it's going to work receiving video/audio from your PS4 through roaming or public wifi. I can imagine the horrific latency from the two way transmission when trying to play shooters like BF4 multiplayer.

870 is unlikely to come any time soon, unless you wanna wait 6 months to a year I would get something now. The rumor that it was coming out in Q1 of 2014 was before the 780 Ti was announced, because people thought that card was going to be the 790 or Titan Ultra.

Assuming 800 series is similar to past series bumps the 770 will still be a good card anyway. If you want to make it last longer 780 is a choice, I mean the 580 still holds its own. Either way, I'd just get something you'll be happy with, you can play the "new stuff coming soon" game forever.
