Can I run an amd a10-6800k NOT crossfired with a discrete graphics card, with a 4:3 1280x1024 on the integrated and a 1080p on discrete? I don't mind about amd/nvidia discrete cards, I have a corsair vs450 and would use the 1080p for gaming and the 4:3 for side tasks.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The apu's can go way higher than 1080p so yes you can. Just use the vga for the 1280x1024 monitor and then use a dvi or hdmi for the 1080p, you should have more then enough capability of doing two monitors since I'm guessing you will just be using the smaller monitor for text videos ect... I've had two monitors on a server before with one crappiest video cards ever and it ran just fine for email and web and some video. the apu is really good for two monitors so you should have no problem.
