Decent ? It's very good !

If you want , you can get a cheaper i7-3770 and get more RAM.

Here's a Comparison
http://ark.intel.com/compare/75122,65719

They are both very good CPUs.

" How much RAM your editing computer an use is going to depend on
1/ the operating system .....you should be using a 64 bit OS

The editing program you will be using . Some of these are 64 bit , but older editions will not be and they cant use much RAM . If you are sure the program is 64 bit then as mauch as you can afford , otherwise 2 x4 gig is more than you ca ever use "

Hello, thank you for replying very quickly,

Yes, i would like to stay with the i7-4770 because its VERY cheap on microcenter and they don't sell the i7-3770 their. please try to find me a good motherboard too please, it needs to be a 1150 socket and under $100 us dollars. And my budget is under $700 us dollars.

Thank you,

Sorry to be a little rude, but #1: I dont like Micro-ATX and ASRock. #2: I will consider a i7-3770.

What's wrong with Mirco-ATX ? It's just a size. The ASRock b75 Pro3-M is a really good budget Motherboard. Even I'm using it. There are 4 RAM slots , SATA 3 6GB/S , and PCIe 3.0 16x . What's wrong with it ? Personal problems in the past with their warranties and support ?

yeah
any intel based MOBO is a good option as far as have a good chipset and dual mem chanel support
also with that CPU you cant do OC, maybe could be weak in OC performance

Get 16 gigs of ram.

4770 is a great CPU for your needs.

remember that nvidia GPUs can improve your performance while rendering...

i think could be a great idea to have 8GB RAM @ 1600... faster RAM can improve the performance but at high prices, you should buy 8GB, then more if needed

8GB is enough but 16GB is better if you are going to be doing heavy video editing.
